The main way isโ€ฆ.
๐Ÿ˜ฑ FEAR: Many of these accounts that appear to be official meta-accounts will capitalize on fear of your page being hacked or shut down. They will say things like โ€œFINAL WARNINGโ€ or โ€œYOUR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN DISABLEDโ€.
๐Ÿ›‘ โœ‹๐ŸปBefore you freak out ๐Ÿ˜ฑ when you see thisโ€ฆ we suggest you:
1. Breath
2. Resist the urge to click anything - WE REPEAT, DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING! The hacker wants you to freak out.. click the link and give them your login info immediately before you even know youโ€™ve done something compromising. ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ
3. Notice that most of the time the logos arenโ€™t official with slight variations. Also, the written English is typically broken or not punctuated properly. These are dead give aways that youโ€™re dealing with a scammer.
4. Next you need to REPORT & BAN that user and delete their messages! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ BYE BYE LOSER!! โŒ

How else are they scamming people? ๐Ÿคจ

๐Ÿฅธ Fake Personas: Fake followers with believeable names will be interacting with people in your audience within the comments section and saying things like, โ€œthey have been trying to friend request but itโ€™s not working and I would love to connect (insert nefarious link here)โ€.

The sad truth is, many people fall prey to these imposters because new friends are fun! ๐Ÿ‘ฏโ€โ™€๏ธ Scammers are smart and will take the operation from the comments section to the DMs where they canโ€™t be stopped as easily. They isolate your followers, send clickable links and steal your followers personal identification/ bank account info/ or social pages.

๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿ’ปThese are some of the things we have been learning in the last couples years and we canโ€™t stand to see another business/person get hacked by these tactics!
