Cartoonist/Speaker/ Screenwriter/Actor/Playwright/Family Man
Duane M. Abel has been creating the comic strip series ZED for over 27 years after achieving the title of "youngest syndicated cartoonist in the world" at age fifteen. His student assembly DRAW YOUR DESTINY has been presented to over 1000 schools nationwide to an estimated 500,000 students showcasing the power of goal setting, importance of literacy and how to overcome adversity. When not speaking to students, Duane can be found as a keynote speaker delivering secrets to a better work/life balance from the most most overlooked success manual of the last 100 years...the Sunday Funnies! Duane's cartoons have appeared in publications large and small, including Woman's World magazine which really impressed his mother. Making lemonade from the lemons given to us in 2020, Duane not only wrote and illustrated his first children's book, BOWLERS; The Cereal Mascot, he has also enjoyed time on the big screen appearing in a handful of independent movies (CHRISTMAS COLLISSION is available on Amazon as we speak) and he not only co-stars in the upcoming romantic comedy THE GREENOAK GUARDIAN, it is also his screenwriting debut. He is a proud member of the National Cartoonists Society, an even prouder dad to two boys and often confused husband for his wife of over 20 years, Coral. He is also proof that ANYONE can sound good on paper!
